To begin the year I want to reflect on God's amazing grace in my life. The pride that brought me to rebel against my Creator was nailed to the cross. I seek to walk humbly before Him....for He gave His all to redeem me.
Randy Alcorn shared this youtube video created by actionJones. It shows with simple but beautiful animation what Christ has done for all. Receive Him and find peace for your soul.
The song is “The Gospel Song” by Sovereign Grace Music with an excerpt from John Piper's “The Gospel in 6 Minutes.”
Remember to pause my "Play List" on the right side bar before viewing the video.
All these things my hand has made,
and so all these things came to be,
declares the LORD.
But this is the one to whom I will look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit
and trembles at my word.
(Isaiah 66:2 ESV)

Darling Amy,
I agree that this is such a good way to begin a new year. Thank you for this post. I have been blessed by the video and enjoyed a couple of others as well that could be selected when it was over.
You quote Isaiah at the end of your post:
But this is the one to whom I will look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit
and trembles at my word.
(Isaiah 66:2 ESV)
How my heart yearns for this. And how relieved I am this morning to remember that He who begins the work in us has promised that He will finish it. I love you. I love yours.
Judy-Mom
My granddaughter sat in my lap and watched the video with me.
I told her how people spit on Jesus; called Him names; beat Him; stuck thorns on the top of His head, and nailed Him to a cross.
I told her that He hadn't done anything wrong and that He carried the cross for us.
She asked, "Why would He do that?"
I answered, "Because He loves us so much."
Thank you, Amy, for giving me this opportunity of sharing God's amazing love and sacrifice with my precious girl.
Sweet dreams.
Dearest Amy,
I have been thinking of you. Tonight I took time to watch the video, and it was so touching, I watched it several times over.
What a quiet and gentle way to usher in the New Year. The verse you quoted is one of my favorites. It served as a confirmation that God is calling me to humility. On Sunday evening, I arrived in Manila after ten days in Thailand. The prayer I had for my 2 month old grandson was for him to learn humility at a young age. And today, on the third day of the Elijah House School of Prayer Ministry, the song we meditated on for the afternoon session was Brenton Brown's Humble King. So tonight as I re-read your post, it really spoke to me.
Here's a link to Brenton Brown's beautiful song:

Keeping you close,
